Oman — 150 / 4,800 Nm³/h nitrogen and oxygen plant
A combined cryogenic air separation plant producing 150 Nm³/h of oxygen and 4,800 Nm³/h of nitrogen, supplied with cryogenic liquid storage and shipped to a remote overseas site where it was erected and cold-commissioned by Haishuo engineers.

ENGINEERING
What made this project demanding
01
Remote overseas site
Every part has to be complete, correctly packaged and documented before it leaves the works, because a missing item means weeks of delay rather than a phone call to a local supplier.
02
High ambient temperature
Compressor selection, cooling water system and heat exchanger approach temperatures were designed for a hot climate, otherwise the plant would not reach guaranteed capacity at site conditions.
03
Two products, one cold box
Producing 150 Nm³/h of oxygen alongside 4,800 Nm³/h of nitrogen in a single plant requires a column arrangement and refrigeration balance that keeps both products on specification at the same time.
04
Commissioning with our own engineers
Cold commissioning of a cryogenic plant cannot be handed to a local contractor without experience; cool-down, purging and start-up sequences were executed by the Haishuo commissioning team.
DELIVERY
How we delivered it
01
Process design for site conditions
The plant was designed around the site ambient conditions, with compressor, expander and heat exchanger selection matched to a hot climate.
02
Workshop assembly and function test
The cold box was assembled and function-tested in our own workshop, so instrumentation, valves and control logic were verified while still accessible.
03
Export packing and documentation
Equipment was packed for a long sea route with a complete documentation package: material certificates, weld and inspection records and test reports.
04
Erection supervision
Our engineers supervised erection on site, with the sequencing planned in advance so that the cold box, storage and pipework were ready for cool-down together.
05
Cold commissioning and training
Cool-down, purging, start-up and performance checks were carried out by our team, followed by operator training before handover.
